either temp sensor busted,or you've traped the wire and shorted it.shorting to engine gives full swing on gauge.find single temp wire and remove,gauge should read zero,touching wire to engine should read hot.if so then temp sensor is shot.all this presumes u have bled the system and are no air locks.
