Clutch problems Fiat Bravo 1.4SX 1998 model:?

Hi,

when i press my clutch and try to engage the gear box there is nothing. The clutch will just spring back as though there is no tension.

Any advise would be appreciated.

Just a thought, you may want to check your hydraulic fluid as some models have a hydraulic clutch rather than a cable.

I have a V reg 1.2 Fiat Bravo 80 SX, I just broke down last night. For a couple of days the Gears were stiff and then they just jammed all together when I was sitting at Traffic lights. Having it looked at by Ross Autos my local garrage and they recon they can fix it for £160. I have only had the car for a month, I bought it in a private sale for £500 and it was running fine. The AA tells me it is a very comon fault and there is just nothing you can do about it but get it replaced. Sorry looks like we both have to bite the bullet. If you are in Scotland Ross are the cheepest arround. 01417724522.

If you have the Haynes manual you will find that all the models are pritty much the same except the later 1.2/1.4SX was given the Punto engine which is more reliable.
