how do I get past rebuilding library?

When I power up my Creative Zen Extra (30Gb) player, it stalls on Re-building a library. After going into rescue mode bt resetting the player and resetting the drive it still won't work. I am loathe to send it back to Creative for repair as they say all music will have to be wiped off. Stupidly, there is stuff on there that I don't have anywhere else.
Can anybody help?
Cheers

Go into recovery mode. Select "clean up". itll fix that every time.

Drew - I have Zen Micro and it did the same thing. After trying to re-load firmware (stalled) I tried format (which also stalled) and now goes into recovery mode only. If you try either of the above again it now starts the process then shortly after, emits a series of cascading beeps. Creative says it needs to go in for analysis & repair, UNFORTUNATLY you loose the contents of your drive in all cases. Mine is about six months old. I am not impressed! However, from reviewing others experience with Creative, they generally replace the units for $25 US plus your cost to ship it to them. Good Luck
