Scantronic 9000 series reset?

Decorator took remote keypad off wall and upset alarm. He didn't know eng code so messed about and now the display reads - and only the power light is lit.
I know the eng. code but nothing haqppens when I enter it. Can anyone help.

Hi Melvin;
The Engineer's Reset is normally as follows:
1. Press '0' followed by 'Enter' (or '#').
2. Enter Engineer's code (default: 7890).
3. Press '99' followed by 'Enter' (or '#').

Hopefully this will sort it if you haven't done already.
