machine works fine with no load but with washing in motor appears to stall at start of wash cycle 'drum is free to turn and with belt removed motor runs fine.

I have the same washing machine, and I have a similar problem..

My machine is filling higher than normal during the wash cycle..

I have checked and cleared the filter, and the water drains away no problem when its draining..

It has also developed another problem at the same time (perhaps the two problems are related?), it will not spin fast when it reaches the spin cycle..
Any ideas ??

Hi Sam, does it seem to rock when there is a load in it?.If so then you may need a new capacitor.
Is it overfilling with water,the level is higher at the door than normal.This could be a reason and the weight is too heavy for the motor.If the level is too high.Take the lid off,at the rear right corner is a pressure switch with a black tube connected.gently pull this off and blow. When it is clear,refit and this will cure the level,Hope this helps.All the best
