why does my ps2 go to the blue screen on the tv while im in the middle of playing a game?

Mine did this and the A/V cable just needed some adjusting. I usually wiggled mine around and it worked better. It acted like it wasn't making good connection but moving it around where it connects to the console helped alot. You can get a good replacement one for $5.
