AEG Santo upright refrigerator thermostat is clicking and temperature displ?

The temperature gauge is flashing (so is the light inside-when you open the door) and you can hear the thermostat clicking. What can we do? This does not happen all the time an eventaully the fridge returns to the pre-set temperature and the clicking and flashing stops.

I had the same problem, the cause is a defect on the control-unit.
I replaced the pcb and everything is working just fine!
Just be prepared to spend a couple of bucks, the control-pcb is the most expensive spare part next to the compressor-unit.

Changing the control-unit is fairly simple;
- pull the power cord!!
- remove the two white caps left and right of the display
- remove the two screws that become visible
- pull out the control-unit and remove the plastic film (keep it, the new control-unit is missing the plastic film)
- remove the cables from the control-unit
- attach the cables to the new control-unit
- assemble in reverse order
- put the power cord back in

That's all

could be sensors at fault or even a control pcb fault.without testing it hard to say
