i turned my ghd straighteners on this morning and they seemed to go pop and blow on me do you think they are fixable

mine have just done the same,i changed the fuse and they came on for 15 seconds then blew the fuse again,i am trying to find out why

Yes they are fixable. It is most likely the internal thermal fuse has blown. You can get replacements from ebay for about £8 (search for GHD fuse). I fixed a pair a while ago and it took about 30 mins.
