had a differant problem my thomson 160 (nearly 3 years old now) was jumping an all library was missing an it did'nt want to record anything , went to engineer's page ( help page then do 1 3 9 7 on remote ) an reset almost everything an all problems are fixed woohoo thank you all who contribute to these pages

My recording page says I have 0% space but after deleting loads of programs it doesn't change.
I go to the Help page & it tells me I have 58% of space but the recording page stills says 0% & won't let me record.
Any ideas?

i have a blank screen with a key sign in the coner of my screen
how do you unlock the box so i can watch tv

wayne turner, January 2009
Thanks for the above answer, it worked for me. The other way is to quickly delete the problem recording before the preview box starts to play. So, fast on the fingers, arrow to the problem recording, press blue and press green as soon as you can. This should catch and delete the program before it starts to play in the preview. Its worked for me several times. If this doesn't work then use Martyn's solution above which also works.

I find that when that happens, the way to resolve it is to unplug the box from the wall socket. Wait a few seconds. Plug it back in. Let the box do a disk check before you switch it back on. When you switch it on, the programme will have gone.

Hi, Ive got the same problem.
I've just phoned up the helpline and hae been told to try the following:-
Menu
4 for set up
6 for help
press keys 1, 3, 9, 7
scroll down to option 7 - disable library video window
right arrow key - change to yes
Press library button
Hi-lite the file causing the trouble
Blue button
Green button
After a few seconds it should delete
