How can I lock down MSN Messenger so that unsafe files can't be received?

I would like to restrict the types of files which I could receive on my PC via MSN Messenger. One of my kids installed a screensaver that he received without understanding that it could have been a virus.

Exe files etc would be removed by my Firewall if they were received by email, but it doesn't stop files which arrive by MSN Messenger.

Any ideas?

what you want to do is to options on your msn, go to file tranfer and tick the scan files for viruses, also put that pathway of your anti virus (to do this you need an anti virus :P)
