I just was given a mcculloch mac1385l gas trimmer. all it need was a primer bubble. there are two small plastic stems coming out the bottom of the replacement bubble but there appears to only be one hose to attach. which one does the hose attach to, the longer or shorter one?

From the fuel tank to the short spigot on the rear of the primer-bulb housing; from the long spigot to the carburettor. Check to see if there is a return pipe needed from the carburettor back to the tank, some models of McCulloch motors have them fitted.
