The Glowworm micron boiler is making three beeps about every 30 secs. What is it for and is it anything to worry about ?

Our three beeps turned out to be coming from a carbon monoxide alarm hidden above the door of the outhouse where our boiler is installed. It was asking for new batteries. We didn't even know it was there until a friendly plumber found it for us.
