My Panasonic TU-DSB 30 sky receiver is stuck on red standby light, is permanently showing red and will not change to green when the Sky button is pressed on the remote

Try this. Hold the back-up button on sky box turn off from mains or pull power cord from back of sky box. Then turn power back on still holding the back-up button. This will force a new install and will take about 3 mins.
