How can I remove blood from a pair of trousers?

I have a small stain on a pair of jeans caused by blood. (Not on the scale of a slasher-movie, just a small spot.)

Is there a good remover for blood? I ask because people can normally suggest something use use e.g, salt, lemon, vinegar etc

You can try diluting Hydrogen Peroxide with a little water if the fabric is not dark. If it is dark or the stain dosent come out, wet the area and sprinkle heavily with meat tenderizer. Let sit for about 30 minutes and rinse with cold water. Repeat until the stain is gone. It breaks down the protiens in the blood and should remove all traces.
