We have a Sanyo TV and our DVD movie player does not work. There is sound when we put in a movie but there is not picture. Could it be the TV and how can we stop this?

The cause is one of...

Something wrong with TV
Something wrong with DVD palyer
Something wrong with cable between TV and DVD player
Something wrong with set-up (user selected controls or where/how cable is plugged)

Has it ever worked? Can you eliminate anything - use DVD palyer on another TV or use another DVD player on same TV or try different cable?

You need to investigate to solve it - people who answer can only guess. Ask neighbour to try your DVD player on their TV perhaps...
