How do we fix the flood activator switch?

done
how do i take out bottom draw

stuart, June 2012
You can simply pull out the bottom draw and using a towel (or two) soak up the water in the base of the unit (not in the bottom of the draw, the base of the unit underneath the draw). 30sec latter, all fixed

You're probably stacking your dishes too high. When you close the drawer, it attempts to seal it by lowering a lid with rubber seals around the edges. Anything stacked too high means the lid wont seal, water leaks out and you get the F1. If it happens too many times, water will destroy the little motors which close the lid and they will need to be replaced with the new improved sealed versions now available.

hi how do you know it is the flood switch?
If you have a workshop manual you can tell by the codes to be sure
either with a code on the lcd or by using the led lights(rinse spin etc) to make sure
as for repairing it you will need to be fairly handy with electronics to fix the switch/bord etc
a lot of problems with F & P machines are caused by another part of the machine eg the door switch might effect the module etc

so you need to be sure excactly which part is broken

good luck robin
