Push Button Toilet?

I have a push button toilet. I have replaced the fill washer and that is fine. However I have a leak from the ciston into the toilet bowl. Only slight. But as the ciston is built in can't fig out how as normal syphon toilts can't do this. Can this be adjusted?

sounds like your internal overflow,adjust water level to cistern
