I have a burnt bamboo worktop?

My son recently put a boiling hot pot down on my newly installed bamboo worktop. I've heard that bamboo is relatively easy to restore. How can I go about it.

If you have had a accident with your worktop just ring you're insurer. It needs replacing it cannot be restored.
