a couple questions about my homelite chainsaw!?

i have a homelite xl chainsaw and i got it used off of a friend of mine. the problem i'm having is when i go to throttle it up from an idle it keeps dying. it always starts back up though. if i idle it up slowly it will run. also need to know what the right fuel mixture is for this saw and i have two different caps on it. i know one is for the fuel, is the other one for chain oil.? the model number is 10694A. thanks!

your saw wont rev up properly as the high speed screw is set
too closed causing it to run lean. locate the small screw on the carb with an H by it. turn it about half a turn anti clockwise
and try the saw. only at full working temperature can it be set
exactly. if you do it too much the saw wont reach full revs and will four stroke,as they say. if you dont unscrew it enough it
will scream too highly and be too lean. after that set the screw
marked L for low speed to get a smooth fast idle. then you can set the idle speed with the idle screw

the fuel ratio is 32:1 or 4 oz. of oil to 1 gal. of ga
the cap closest to the stater handle is for oil.
