Circuit breaker trips?

I have an intermittant fault on my lighting circuit. The circuit breaker will even trip when it feels like it with all lights switched off or any switched on.The duration after reset can be 30 seconds, 10to15 minutes or 1or2 hours. I have replaced with new breaker but fault remains. Can anyone help, thanks.

An electrician can help you - you have a wiring fault somewhere in the house.

Breaker not tripping when it feels like it - tripping when fault condition exists - it's working well and preventing a fire.
