How can i repair my Servis Fridge Freezer?

My fridge freezer has packed up and won't cool or freeze anymore. The red warning light on the front is flashing and it's making weird noises. If this is a compressor problem can i repair it myself? It's the Frost Free M0330 Silver Model.
