My Sharp Model XE-A102 register its not adding the tax atomatically? Help!?

When I purchased the register I set up the tax rate and it was adding it to the sale after pressing the subtotal key. However, now its not adding the tax. It would only add the tax if I enter it manually. How can fix the problem?
