Why does water drips into the machine when it is turned off?

At first the water dripped only when the selector was set to hot water. Now, it drips no matter what the setting. What is causing this problem?

Its because one of the valves is passing.
Take the top off pull the outlet hoses off the Valves and see which one is passing ?
Then replace it or strip it down pull all the insides out and clean and rebuild it it should then be OK !

the question is from where ...
back front , underneath ,
try the soap dispsener first ,may be block with soap etc, causing spalsh back
.
check the water pipes are tight on back of washer ,
could be a bad fault in new hotpoint ///
seen one tonight ,water leakeked out of bearing on drum ,on to local floor ,not noticed till machine packed in shortly leading to crushed drum bearings ,

could be a simple job ...put paper under washer during cycle to estimate wherabouts ?
come bak soon

caution ...ELECTRIC CAN KILL
