I removed the blade on my Murray Walk behind to sharpen the blade. The bolt broke off insive the shaft from the engine. I have an easy out but it broke inside the shaft also. I want to remove the flange at the base of the shaft I see that it has a key way, is it pressed on or how is it removed. If I can get this flange off I can get the broken piece of bol;t out

It should easy to take off. It may have some rust on the shaft and the flange. Firt thing to do is to pray the shaft and flange with WD40 and let it sit for a few minuts. After that tap on the sides of the flange to loosen the rust and try to tap it off the shaft. If that won't work than go to the auto parts store near you and tell the counter clerk that you need to buy a two arm puller. He sould know what you are asking for. Good luck!
