This very much depends on whether you can take the CD source through an auxillary connection on the tape player so that the CD is played through your tape player or basically if you have a DIN connection on the tape player so that the CD can be connected and would be monitored and recorded that way. There are quite a few ways in which it can be done. I think using a computer would be better and the recording quality might be improved.
