My phones handset is constantly stuck on searching.... Th screen just shows searching and when you press the call button just gives a busy tone!!!!! Please Help!!!!

Before you start searching, you need to press and hold the Page button on the basestation until it bleeps (a double-bleep I think).
It should then find the basestation.
If you have problems still, you should be able to un-register handsets using a menu on a registered handset.
I found the user manual for the BT Lyric 2100 on http://www.telephonesonline.co.uk/_cordless_phones.asp

This uses a similar system.

You may be able to get other instructions from there.
