Need to repalce a knackered bearing (passenger front) on an R reg VW polo.

Any advice on the process, any special tools, been told the old bearing will come off with a hammer and screwdriver, any things to look out for, bits that break etc when changing the bearing.

Needless to say dont have a repair manual.
