Ford Radio fails to display info?

My radio 7000 plays OK and CD also, but fails to display information. Is this easy/cheap to rectify?

If the unit is working ok and all buttons on fascia doing what they are meant to, by this I mean changing channel etc. then most likely the crystal display is faulty.This is NOT uncommon and to a professional is a simple repair.
