where can I find the short hose(both ends are the same) to attach to the reel and to my hose? Mine has worn out

One more note, the spool/half-cylinder disassembly procedure I just posted was for a Suncast Hosemobile - very similar to (if not the same as) Model JNF175. See picture on the Suncast website:

I think I had this for about 10 years. The "PULL HERE" tabs were colored orange in my case. I'm sure the color of this plastic part varies.

Good luck,

To get to the tabs that say "PULL HERE", I had to disassemble the spool - the center portion around which the hose is wrapped around. On mine, the spool is essentially an assembly of 2 half-cylinders of plastic.

1. There are 4 screwdriver pry-slots - 2 on each side/seam were the half-cylinders meet. Stick a screwdriver in these slots and give it a gentle twist.
2. You'll note 4 locking tabs - 2 per half-cylinder - on the inside near the ends that will come loose as a result.
3. These half-cylinders then have to be pulled apart as they also have a pair of mating sleeves/posts.

Once I pulled the spool apart, I was able to get at the 2 "PULL HERE" tabs near the out-tube to remove the in-tube.

Removing the Suncast Hosemobile intube can be tricky. In my case, I had overtorqued the water hose and cracked the intube (DOH!). Took me a while to figure it out how to remove the intube to replace it with a new one (purchased for $7 from Suncast website). It now appears very straightforward to do.
You have to pull on any one of the two white tabs in the out-tube region. The tabs have instructions on them that say "PULL HERE". Use a long flat head screw driver, and insert it in the small opening in the region were the outtube connects to the reel spoke. Pulling on the tabs with the flat head screwdriver blade will release two small but hidden tabs just behind the intube. Pulling on the intube while pulling on the tab with the screw driver will release the intube. You can grease the two O-rings once the intube is released. Installation is as simple as pushing the intube back in, the two tabs will then engage to lock it in place. Hope this helps, bottomline is that it pretty simple once you recognize the function of the two white tabs.
