any idea what to do or try my 04 renault scenic key card opens the doors but when put in the slot it comes up key card not recognised. The night before i could not swich the car off then it did eventually so i tried starting it card not recognised but eventually did start switched off ok then started ok next morning key card not recognised also tried new batteries in key no joy but still opens doors ok

not got a spare card should i just get the card reprogramed or should i get a new card? Some one told me i cant just get a blank card of ebay i would have to get one of renalt matching my chasey number is this true

if you have a 2nd key try that and see how that is.if the key is in the reader and still not read it is the card faulty,the batteries are only used for central locking or hands free function if applicable.
