I have removed and cleaned the detergent tray, also the hidey hole it came out of, as that was clogged in places. I have run a rinse programme without the shelf in place to see if water was able to access the conditioner section. All o.k. Still no conditioner being used, although it is being diluted.

could be the relevant solenoid. remove wires and check with multi-meter but make sure machine unplugged and be safe.follow the pipe from dispenser to the solenoid to be sure you have the right one
