Bosch Maxx making strange noises and sparks when spinning!?

Hi,

My Bosch Maxx is making loud clicking noises once the spin speed reaches a certain amount. If I look underneath when this is happening, I can see reflections of blue sparks on the floor. Any ideas? Could it be the brushes?
