Mk3 Headlight problem: please help?

I have a VW MK3 and a few weeks ago one of my head lights stopped working. I checked the bulbs and they were good, I checked the fuse and they were going. At first the High beam would work. Know they both are out. And the funny thing is it is only happing to the right side.
