I am having trouble with my webcam freezing up when i log on to view with somone else on yahoo messenger or msn messenger i have a gateway laptop with a built in webcam .Can anyone help me ?

Does your webcam work byitself in standalone (viewing yourself) for an hour without freezing up?

If no, then your PC is the problem. You will have to re-load your webcam driver.

If yes, then try to first download and install a new copy from Microsoft.

If that does not work then you will have to remove the old copy and then install the new version.
You risk losing all your old contacts though.
- Go to 'control panel'
- then 'add/remove program'
- remove 'msn' and 'messenger'
