How can i put/replace new coil pack?

Hi, I am being annoyed a lot by megane that i bought a few months ago (used). it broke its starter motor which i replaced. now it is loosing power while running, especiallyu going up the hill. I have been adv it needs new coil packs. could anyone pls tell me what is it look like and how will i change it. if i change first plug coil pack, how shall i know if it was the right one? by driving it. the engine give plenty of vibration. will it be possible to show an image explaining where is it and how to do it?

many thanks

hello ammar, i have a megane on an 03 plate. early this week i decided to be a clever so and so and decided to wash the engine with a hose.an hour later my girlfriend drove the car and complained that it was sluggish with the engine light on. i drove the car and it felt like it was firing on three cyl. i removed all coil packs and found that the third spark plug was completely submerged in water.i removed all water and refitted coil packs.it seems to be a little better but i think i need a new coil pack. in regards to your question it is quite easy to remove the coil packs. assuming your megane is similar to my mine. remove the the top silver engine cover. you should see 4 black units at the top of the engine each with there own cables going to it. just press on the plug and pull to dissconnect it.you will need a 10mm socket with extension to remove the only bolt.some cars use a torque/star bolt.once the bolt is removed, with a twisting pulling motion you can remove the coil pack. check that the spring in side the pack is clean and ok.also look at the connection socket. look at the top of the spark plug to make sure it is clean and sound. my advice to you is to buy 1 coil pack and fit into the first cyl. drive the car for a day and see if any improvement. if not fit it in the second cyl and so on. i have been told that renault megane's are notorious for their coil packs.i hope this helps you my friend. please reply back and let me know how you got on as my car is giving me a headache also. thanks.
