My 16-22 potterton Netaheat Mk 2F runs about 90 secs then flames out and immediately re- ignites. When starting from cold runs for 5/6 secs then does same. Cutout is preceded by a hissing sound from the area of the gas valve at end where thermocouple connects. Vapour switch maybe? Believed from literature that valve is white- rodgers.

Found one at an outfit called keeptheheaton.com who are good for old parts. You right about price though £100. Not tried it yet.
Why are boiler spares so expensive? Bad or worse than motor parts.

Sounds like you are right Geoff.Dont know if these are available though anymore and will be pretty damn pricey if they are.
