Where do i find the battery in a ER-4900 cash register?

Where do I find the battery in a ER-4900 cash register. Try to do price changes and new names but all I get is an E1. Can anyone help me please

Hi.
E1 usually indicates an operator error. It may not need a battery at all. If the machine can be operated in REG mode, then the battery is probably fine. Make sure you don't have an uncompleted sale in REg mode before turn the key. Try doing a 'no sale' command in REG mode, then turn the key to P and try again.
