whirlpool heavy duty large capacity washer won't spin?

What should I do? My washing machine won't spin out.
My clother are soaking wet.

Hello,

Is the washer trying to spin out by making any noises? Does the washer just go quiet when in the spin mode? If it goes quiet I would check for a bad lid switch.
