Hi,
I also own the Omron RS6500 epos system & which I had a problem on the printing side.

To be fairly honest I did try few places to have the part replaced but unfortunley was unable to do this due to the fact of ripp off prices.

If I was in your shoes mate dont even bother & have the till replaced.
