I had the camrea for 2 weeks then one day i went to turn it on & the start up screen comes on but then it goes black

don`t know,but my vivitar got knocked off a table & nothing works...bought a new one & not vivitar.vivitar did not help when i e-mail.(I WAS NEVER HAPPY WITH IT ANYWAY!)SORRY
