We have a Brava Y 2001 reg and he looked at transplanting the cd player out of the old car an Escort into the new car Brava. Firstly we found you had to slip a thin metal strip down the sides of the cassette player to release it from the dashboard then I think he had an issue of where to mount the multiplayer and fix in the wires. It got a bit complicated so he brought a cassette thing (near the mobiles and computer stuff) from the supermarket for about £9* which he can plug either a MP3 player or his mobile into and is a lot less hassle. *The first one we brought was from Asda the second was from Tesco (the tape tends to grate after awhile) but then we did see another in £1 shop. This is perhaps not quite what you wanted to know but its a solution to no music in the car.
