Electric window -with a mind of it's own?

One of the windows on my car (1999 Shogun) will not always close properly. It often goes halfway to close and then opens or virtually cloes and opens. Sometimes the movement is very quick and slower other times Any ideas please!

Sounds like the electric wires to the window itself are touching something they shouldn't and making it short out....
