My F&P N405T fridge/freezer continually frosts up and then doesn't refrigerate things properly. I have replaced the thermostat and the door seal. After I switch it off and defrost it manually it works great for a couple of days but begins frosting up immediately.

Sounds like it has to be a thermostat problem. Either the one you installed is faulty, not the correct one or you have installed it incorrectly.
