potterton netaheat 10/16?

my boiler willnot ignite i have change the ignition control and the gas valve

My twenty year old Potterton Netaheat 16/22 worked fine until this morning. Boiler alight but constantly trying to spark, so flames distorted as not knowing whether to be on or off. Is this a control panel problem or a thermostat.

underneath the boiler there is an overheat stat this has a red button attached press this red button in and if the ignition sequence starts then your boiler has overheated if this continues to happen then there is a fault possibly seized pump
