how to replace the bearings from a westinghouse 708 frontloader washing maachine

you need to strip it all down so you can get at the drum,it's not an hard job.just remember what part went where.when youv'e got the drum out of the washing machine casing, you'll find spring clips all the way round the the drum, don't forget to remove the rubber seal that goes round inside of the door, the spring clips should be removed, then pull the two halfs apart revealing the steel drum still attatched to the back half, assuming youv'e removed the belt flywheel pull the steel drum away from the bearing..find a metal tube something like a box spanner to fit over the bearing(this must be slightly smaller than the bearing or you'll nacker the housing up) .slot it over the bearing and give it a sharp hit,you may have to do this a couple of times to free it,and when fitting the new bearing make sure it goes in straight and not cock eyed.refit the drum and everything else check for leaks.job done.......
