I have released the hand brake mechanism in the front brakes of my C5. How ?

I replaced front pads on my C5. I think I have disconnected the hand brake adjuster on the drivers side.I MAY HAVE TURNED PISTON WRONG WAY Can I get some info an how to fix please? pic would be brill if possible. thanks
