Nissan Primera fan switch fault?

Hi i've got the same problem with my Nissan Primera 1.6 LX (1995).

The fan only works on number 4 (the highest setting), it (the problem) started after the engine was started whilst it was on number 3.

Since then it hasn't been working at all only on 4.

I have seen the same problem on a few older Nissans.

I/we would appreciate any help.

Hi Iv'e got a manual and it defo is the blower resister
I just had the same problem bought a new resister now the settings all work. you can find it by removing the 2 screws that hold the glove box up and its just over to your left.

YES I'VE FOUND THE ANSWER ITS THE BLOWER RESISIOR.

All it is is a small card about 4 inches by 2 inches. Which slides into a slot under the blower motor.

All you have to do is follow these instructions (any by a new/old card available from a scrapyard).

The link is http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/299921/2

but of course everthing is on the left side in the UK.

Any problems please post a reply here and i'll try and look here again sometime.

Any answers for this yet? Winter is coming!

I'm hoping someone will give an answer too. Could it be something as simple as a separate fuse for the lower fan speeds? Maybe someone has a repair manual they could look up the wiring in.
