Heavy Clonking On Front Near Side Wheel?

I have a renault clio (1993 1.4), every time I turn right I have a heavy clonking noise from the front near side wheel, can anyone please tell me what the problem could be and if it is a DIY job, been told it could be a CV joint , if it is , is this an easy job to do yourself

Check the engine mounting bracket if the cv boot feels ok i found it with mine thounght cv but it was not.
Oly It did sound like it came from front drivers wheel.

Yes it would more than likely be the cv boot.
It can be a bit tricky job on the clio best to use a stretch boot and use a cone. Book time is 1.8 hours to do the job.
