In the screen of my Advent 6552 laptop there is a felt strip that has fallen down over the display, i was wondering whether there is a way of getting into the screen to either put it back up or to take it out.

hi. ok i haven't got time now to view the exact model of your machine, but they are all similar. Look around the outside of the screen, you will see some small rubbers, get a pin and prick them out, take out the screws and gently and i mean gently prise a small screwdriver in between the fascia and the lid, gently lift and the fascia will come away, go all around the screen doing this very carefully so you don't crack the fascia. You will see you have now access to push the felt back in. Do take care when carrying out this repair.
