After reading up on s1730 frame full I went into menu/setup/renew, it works fine now many thanks.

setting to renew does not work unless you also delete your files from your storage card.

I have a Fuji Finepix s1730 but I got the same message. I cleared by turning the camera on, going into 'setup' in the menu, select 'frame no.' . It gives the choice of 'continuous' or 'renew': select 'renew'.

In setup, switch your frame numbering from CONT to RENEW. Your frame counter has reached 9999.
